RENNES, A MEDIEVAL CITY STEEPED IN HISTORY
The capital of Brittany, Rennes is a must-see. Among the emblematic sites, don’t miss a visit to the Parliament of Brittany, the 15ᵉ century ramparts or the timber-framed houses.
FOUGÈRES, AT THE GATEWAY TO BRITTANY
Fougères and its impressive medieval fortress. Did you know that it’s the largest fortress in Europe? And above all, remarkably well-preserved. It more than merits a trip to Fougères. Use your time to explore the town centre and its public gardens for a lovely leafy nature walk.
COMBOURG, THE BIRTHPLACE OF ROMANTICISM
Our campsite is a 10-minute drive from Combourg, a town that’s packed with character. Go on a day out to visit the château and stroll around the lake.
DINAN, A MEDIEVAL CITY BETWEEN LAND AND SEA
Another must-see! Dinan and its medieval town. Wander through the cobbled streets and admire the perfectly preserved timber-framed houses for a trip back in time. Don’t forget to walk along the famous Rue du Jerzual which links the historic centre to the port of Dinan.
DOL-DE-BRETAGNE, AN EPISCOPAL CITY
Discover Dol-de-Bretagne, a small charming town with bags of character. Stroll along streets lined with timber-framed houses, admire the superb cathedral, then head towards the bay of Mont Saint-Michel.
Along the way, don’t miss Saint-Broladre, where the chapel of Sainte-Anne marks the start of the bike path leading to Mont. Make sure you climb to the top of Mont-Dol to enjoy an exceptional view over the polders and the bay.
